Time now for video blog number three, having given myself a few days to sober up and calm down after the fantastic 4-0 thrashing of Portugal to get the the Nationalmannschaft’s World Cup off to a cracking start. A Thomas Müller hat-trick, a red card for the hot-headed Pepe and more hilarious images of a blubbing CR7… I mean really, what’s not to love?
Today’s commentary covers the key issues from Monday’s game, as well as a brief look forward to the next match against Ghana. Ignore my promise at the beginning to keep things short: this one goes on for just over eleven minutes, so it might be a good idea to get yourself a drink first.
The featured Trikot is of course the Oliver Bierhoff “Golden Goal” edition from 1996.
I guess I am a bit Biased for BVB players 🙂 Please do share the Chiles video. Don’t know the guy, but now can’t wait to watch his comedy show.
Plan to get it online today!
Or he can bring in Gruesskreutz on the right of the defense and put Boateng in the center of the defense. Definitely Ozil an impact substitute not a starter. If it was someone else other than Muller that Pepe rubbed heads with, Like for example, Ronaldo, he would have clutched his face and started rolling on the ground, not stand up to him Like Muller did.
Not sure about Großkreutz. He’s committed but can be a bit rash, as with that silly penalty he conceded in the friendly against Cameroon two minutes after coming on.
Boateng has looked better on the right as compared to the centre, and although many Bundesliga-watchers don’t know much about Mustafi, he’d be my first second option. Let’s hope Hummels is fit though to remove this discussion completely.
Agreed about Müller. If Pepe just left things alone that would have been that. As I said in the video, had Müller’s place been taken by Ronaldo everyone would have been waiting for the coroner and grim reaper.
